TASTER SESSIONS
If you would like to experience Target Archery to see if it is for you, then why not attend one of our Taster Sessions? We hold several throughout the year and it gives you the opportunity to try Archery in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
We hold them both indoors and out, depending on the time of year. Archery is suitable from age 8 and upwards. All participants must be physically able, as you will need the strength to use the equipment to allow you to gain the most enjoyment from the sport.
[£15 per person, 2hrs session, all equipment provided]
BEGINNER'S COURSES
If you would like to take up target archery and maybe join our club then you must first complete a minimum 10 hour Beginner's Course.
The Beginner's courses, dependant on demand, will be run throughout the year, by qualified coaches supported by experienced club members.
[£90 Adult, £50 Junior, £120 for an adult and a Junior, £240 for 4 people, all equipment provided].
HAVE A GOs
During the summer months (May to August) our club may also hold a "Have a Go"
outdoor archery sessions. This is a pre-booked, private session which is an opportunity for a group of friends, family, or work colleagues etc to try out Archery for a couple of hrs and maybe win a medal at the end of the evening.

Membership
The Anchor Bowmen Archery Club, based in Derby in the East Midlands, is a voluntary group which is affiliated to the;
- Archery GB (Grand National Archery Society, GNAS)
- East Midlands Archery Society, EMAS
- Derbyshire County Archery Association, DCAA
To become a shooting member of a Target Archery Club, a Beginners course must be completed.
You may complete a beginner's course at another club if it is more convenient for you, but the club must be GNAS recognised and you will be asked to demonstrate safe shooting before you can apply to be a member of our club.
Membership fees are paid in January and July, of which a part goes to the 3 groups that we are affiliated to.
Once you have paid your membership fee you will be issued with a GNAS card that will have your membership number on it. You will need to keep this card with you to prove you are allowed to shoot, especially when entering tournaments.
With your membership you will also be sent a copy of Archery UK magazine, four times a year.
Club Fees (effective from 1st Jan 2018)
